FAQ

Questions and answers

I'm a wedding photographer and filmmaker based near Linz, Austria. These are the questions couples ask me most before they get in touch.

Where are you based, and do you travel?

I live near Linz in Austria and photograph weddings all over Europe. I often work in Vienna, Munich and Italy, but I'll travel wherever your wedding takes place. Traveling is a big part of why I love this work.

What services do you offer?

I photograph and film weddings. Besides digital, I shoot 35mm film and Super 8, and I bring a drone when the location calls for it. I don't have fixed packages. Each proposal is built around your day and what matters most to you.

Do you shoot on film and Super 8?

Yes, both can be added to digital coverage. 35mm film gives the photos texture and depth. Super 8 gives your wedding film a warmth and grain I can't get from digital. If analog appeals to you, mention it early so we can plan it into the day.

Can we book a wedding film without photography?

No, my films are only available together with photography. I want the photos and the film to tell your day as one consistent story.

Do you offer drone coverage?

Yes. I bring a drone whenever it adds something to your story, for example to show the size of a venue or the landscape around it.

Do you work alone or with a second shooter?

I often work with a second shooter, but it depends on your wedding. It comes down to how many locations and guests there are and what you want covered. We'll work out together what your day needs.

Will you guide us during portraits?

Yes, but only as much as needed. Most couples aren't used to being in front of a camera. I give direction when it helps and step back when something real is happening between you. I want the photos to look like the two of you.

Why so much black and white?

Black and white takes away distractions and leaves the emotion and the light. That's how I see a lot of moments. You'll get plenty of both black and white and color images, and if you'd like a particular photo in color, just tell me and I'll change it.

How much does a wedding with you cost?

Every wedding is different, so I don't send out price lists. We start with a video call to talk about what you're planning and what you have in mind. After that I put together an individual proposal. Travel costs are already included, so nothing gets added later.

Which languages do you speak?

German and English. I switch between them throughout the day, whenever your guests need it.

How far in advance should we inquire, and how does booking work?

Most couples get in touch about 12 months before their wedding, sometimes earlier for weekends in peak season. After your inquiry we set up a video call to get to know each other and talk through your plans. If it feels right for both of us, a retainer secures your date. I don't hold dates without a confirmed booking.

When will we receive our photos and film?

You'll receive your photos within 6 to 8 weeks and your film within 3 to 4 months. The film takes longer because developing Super 8 alone takes about two months, and I edit everything myself.
